Day 1-May 20

Today I woke up and it was quiet. I went downstairs to find my parents or siblings but I couldn't find anyone. It was dead. I looked out the window and looked to the left and I seen houses broken into and papers and other debree floating in the road. I looked to the right and seen a car on fire and houses broken into. I was thinking to myself what happened? why didn't i wake up during all of this? Im so confused. I look further down the road and I seen a thing walking in the road towards my house and as I look closer. The thing had ripped clothes, looked like it was sick, had blood around its mouth , walking slow and dragging a foot. As it got closer I realized it was zombie but was like wait "this cant be i only read it in books never thought it would come real." But yet here I am all by myself in my house alone. I go back upstairs and gather my thoughts of what I just seen and breathe. I got dressed and searched my house for some type of weapon and gather up some supplies. The weapon of choice for not is a bat. My dad never had any guns or other type of weapon so I just got what I am use to and then I set out on my quest to the gun store which was across town. I headed out the door and start running because i wanted to avoid as many of those things as possible. As im running i see more and more of those things and i ran right past them because they were slow. I got half way down the street and has to take a detour because there was a traffic jam full of cars and I couldn't make it through. As i make it down the alley I knew the bat would come in handy. Walking toward them and just swing away, right to the head. I knew somethings be helpful from those zombie movies. It started to get dark and there were so many of those things so I ran into a back door of a warehouse and searched up and down to make sure no zombies were in there and this is where I am right now hiding out for the night.
